2024 Fontagnac

 

Very good Bordeaux. Not overpowering. Multiple berries, well balanced.

Was very good with grilled tuna.

2025 Ciconia

 Another Portuguese rosé. Not bad. Some berries in the taste and nose. A bit on a sweet side.

Was good with grilled fish.

2025 Beso de Luna

 Rioja Rosé is good. Always good. And this one is especially good. Crisp, a bit spicy, just a hint of sugar, with a complex taste and nose, full of different berries.

Enjoyed it with grilled shrimp.

2022 Château Haut Pognan

 Very good Bordeaux. Very subtle. Hints of black currant, red currant and sour cherry.

Was great with grilled tuna.

2018 Château Larroque Bordeaux Superior

Very good Bordeaux. Complex taste and nose, with multiple fruits, a little spice, some tannines. Very smooth.

Was very pleasant with grilled tuna.

Vaucluse by Xavier Vignon

 

The only good thing about this wine: it's drinkable. Barely. Too much sugar, it's hard to understand taste.

Will never buy again.

This producer makes great Châteneuf-du-Papes. Beats me how could he release this wine.

2024 Regengos Seleção

 Good wine. Don't feel much difference from Regengos Carmim. A bit of berries, a bit of tannins, very well balanced.

Enjoyed it at a restaurant Sem-Fim.

2024 Regengos Carmim

 Good red wine. No bells and whistles, but good taste, a bit of berries, a bit of tannins, almost no sugar.

Was good with choriso grilled on a alcohol bath, Portuguese style.

2024 Vila Real Rose

 Don't like it. At all. Too sweet, too immature. Feels like wine which should've stayed in the casket for a while before being bottled.

Will not buy again. Will not buy Vila Real Tinto either.

2025 Chiaretto di Bardolino

 Nice, light, with lots of fruits and flowers in the taste and nose, apple being the most prominent.

Was very good with grilled cavala.

2022 Cabriz Reserva

 Everything you have in 2022 Cabriz, but better. The same crop, but spent more time in a barrel. Result: more refined taste. Some black currant, some sour cherry, everything very well balanced.

Enjoyed it with veal liver.

2018 Château Chavelet

 

Nice, classic Bordeaux. Rich, with strong black currant note, a bit of spice, a bit of raspberry.

Was very good with grilled tuna.

2023 Bordeaux Superior by Amandine Berardengo

 Nice, classic Bordeaux courtesy of Intermarché. Obviously not château, grapes collected from different places. But good overall. Nose and taste of black currant, almost no sugar. A lot of tannines, which give it a bit harsh taste initially, but aerator removes harshness.

Was very good with salmon grilled on a cedar plank.

2020 Château Tertre de Boilon

 Wonderful. Classic Bordeaux. It's Blaye, should be on the lighter side, but no. Well-defined medium-bodied wine. Strong taste and nose of black currant, a bit spicy, very defined aftertaste.

Enjoyed it with fried veal.

2023 Les Barricailleurs

 A disappointment. Especially after exceptional 2022. Nothing special. Obvious Bordeaux, but there are better wines around.

2019 Château Briot

 Not drinkable. Not even good as cooking wine. Went straight to the drain. I have no idea how château in Appellation Contrôllée can release such thing to the market.
Will never buy again anything from this producer.
