M. Chapoutier is the biggest producer in Rhone region of France. So I was surprised to see his name on this bottle from Australia. Bought it, of course. Was pleasantly surprised. This mix is pretty unusual, but tasty. Milder than I expected, after all Australia shiraz is pretty intensive. A little bit of sugar, not much. Very complex taste, can't get all the components, but has pronounced red currant note.
Had it with mutton shepherd pie. Would be great with any red meat.
