2021 Espirito do Cõa

This wine has class. It feels like Bordeaux. Same strong black currant and sour cherry notes. Unfortunately, it's similar to Médoc, has the same light bitter note, which I don't like.

Was OK with grilled tuna.

2023 JP Azeitão Syrah

We moved to Portugal. I'm starting to describe local wines we tried.

This one - Rosé. Drinkable, but that's about all I can say about it. There are better wines here.

Wasn't bad with pizza with grilled shrimp.

2022 de Mont Rosé

Good. Usual tones for Rosé from Provence: honey, spices, citrus. Very well balanced.

Enjoyed it with crab meat pie. Would be great with any seafood.

2022 J.L.Quinson Côtes de Provence Rosé

I liked 2020 and 2021 better. This one is a decent Rosé de Provence, but the taste is a little bit harsh. Still has usual notes of honey, spice and citrus, but a bit off balance.

It's good with seafood, tried it with baked haddock.

2021 Rodney Strong Rosé of Pinot Noir

I am not a big fan of California wines. There are a lot of producers of bad or mediocre wines there. But there are some good and exceptional producers as well.

This wine is really good. Tastes as if it was a good Rosé champagne, but without bubbles. Almost no sugar.

Was very good with baked haddock.

2023 George Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau Rosé

Yet again we enjoy Beaujolais Nouveau Rosé, courtesy of Haskell's.

I like it more than red. Same notes of pear and caramel and hint of apple, but somehow more pronounced.

Enjoyed it with baked flounder.

2023 George Duboeuf Beaujoais Nouveau

Very nice. Strong notes of pear and caramel, hint of apple.

Enjoyed it with sous vide tuna.
